When you post something on Facebook, you want it to get lots of engagement (comments). You also want it to get passed around to other people. The more comments, likes, and "shares" that it gets, the more that other people will see it. This is what I call "viral juice." Here are some three quick tips to make your posts more viral.
The following examples are taken from suggestions I recently made to one of my clients. She* is going to the Yukon alone for 90 days in the summer of 2011. Obviously, you will want to replace the references to camping and the Yukon to your area of expertise.
1. TOP TEN LIST - create some relevant Top Ten Lists but don't fill them in on your own. List a few and then ask for help from your friends/fans. Or list all ten but add some humor to items 10, 5 and 1 ala David Letterman. Call it TOP TEN or TOP TIPS or something clever.

2. TRIVIA QUIZ - create a free online quiz maker that has a lot of interesting facts about your trip.
How about a YUKON TRIVIA QUIZ? What is the average rain fall? What is the most dangerous aspect of camping in the Yukon? What is the population? What is the main economic driver? Why is it called the Yukon? Other questions about wildlife, vegetation, etc?
3. "DID YOU KNOW?" Add a regular "Did You Know" post about something most people don't know about camping, surviving in the wild, the YUKON, your gear, etc.
